Rushing yards: A statistic in football that records the total number of yards gained by a single player as the result of a rushing play (or plays), in which the player carries the football (as opposed to receiving a pass).
In 6 games as a freshman Mason rushed for 17 yards on 4 carries. Average of 4.3 yards per carry.
In 8 games as a sophomore Mason rushed for 89 yards on 11 carries. Average of 8.7 yards per carry.
In 12 games as a junior Mason rushed for 819 yards on 127 carries. Average of 6.4 yards per carry.
A solo tackle is a tackle by just that one player. An assist is one where the player makes a tackle along with at least one other player at the same time (i.e. two or more players tackle the ball carrier at the same time). Total is the solo tackle plus assists.
